Audiosurf is a game created by Dylan Fitterer and is in no way affiliated with this website. I had originally named my Man Or Astro-Man? cover band "Audiosurf" because the name described the surf-style music that we were playing. Eventually, the name stuck and it kind of got out of hand. After about a year of calling ourselves Audiosurf, I decided to contact Dylan and ask him if we could keep the name. He was super polite and very nicely said that he loved my enthusiasm, but asked that I change my name. So many days and nights worth of adding "er" to the end of everything and we are officially two seperate entities now! Yay! Haha. Anyways, the game is totally amazing:
You ride around in these little spaceship-cars and play a tetris/connect four cross-breed with little blocks created by the different tones in your mp3s. Yep, that's right. YOUR mp3s. You insert a song into the game and it creates a track built on the soundwaves inside your mp3s. When the song gets faster, you go downhill, when the song gets slower, you go downhill. It is one of the most amazing musical experiences you will ever try. The demo is free. Check it out :) |
